Today we filmed an episode of Arts Matter at The Waterfront Hotel with Megan Whittington and TV Cogeco. We had the opportunity to discuss No Vacancy and the upcoming Dream State installation in September at detail with Megan. One of our Oakville artists - Sanjay Patel was interviewed and brought three original pieces of art with him and discussed his creative process. Lana Kamaric was also interviewed and brought along a piece from her recent exhibit, Wanderlust. Hopefully we'll get a video clip of the show to show you!

Wow. What an incredible month it has been. We confirmed all of our artists and are going to be on TV Cogeco's Arts Matter this week discussing the event along with two of our participating artists; Sanjay Patel + Lana Kamaric. The cool thing about this event is that all of the artists are doing something completely different, and because they aren't all strictly installation artists it will make for a fascinating event.
We haven't really actively been seeking sponsorship yet, because we have been so focused on securing the right artists for the event. Now that we have done that, we can move on to focus on the community support. The event proceeds will directly support The Halton Women's Centre and the participating artists themselves. |
